Captain Darin Mallon went above and beyond the call of duty in saving the state of New Mexico and his PSAP over $60,000 for his call and radio logger.

The Captain was in the middle of an upgrade to his consoles and Motorola suggested he go with Verint and provided him a quote. He felt the Motorola name was strong and assumed it was the proper product. However, after going through the process and after consulting with his sister PSAP, he felt he needed to reevaluate and get a quote from the logger vendor his sister PSAP was using.
The quote was $82,071.75 for the system, installation, and maintenance/support for five years.

In the review of the Revcord system, the Captain found that Revcord was in many of the NM PSAPs and the users were happy. He received a quote and the cost was $22,026.00 for the system, installation, and maintenance/support for five years.

Needless to say, he immediately stopped the process and awarded the business to Revcord thus saving the state and his PSAP more than $60,000! That’s almost three times the actual total cost of ownership for the Revcord logger.
